[00:08.775]Hey there, I'm Becca and we're about to dive into the Florida Georgia Line Dig Your Roots Album Release Special. [00:15.003]The album is in stores now and I'll tell you what, the guys has really outdone themselves with this third album. [00:21.417]We're going to play all 15 tracks from Dig Your Roots and we'll be hearing from Brian and Tyler, getting some inside into the album, the stories behind the songs and a whole lot more. [00:32.195]Getting it started, it's track No. 1 from Dig Your Roots. It's called Smooth and Brian Kelley says he loved the experience of writing this song. [00:40.800]He says the swampy, woodsy feel of the track is right in their life wheelhouse these days. [00:46.657]Brian Kelley: Smooth is probably one of my favorite songs on the Dig Your Roots album. [00:49.748]We wrote that late in the fall out at Tyler's farm with Nicolle Galyon and Jordan Schmidt, one of our good buddies. [00:54.838]And we've written with Nicole many times and it was our first time just us 4. [00:58.910]And it was a beautiful kind of chilly day and I remember I told Jordan to make kind of a modern day "Fishing in the Dark" track. [01:05.932]And he showed up with that track and Nicole had the title for "Smooth", I remember that. [01:10.927]And I remember Tyler came in with that hook on the chorus "Good lord almighty", and that kind of got us down the chorus. [01:17.116]We just wrote real hard that day and had a lot of fun. [01:19.229]It's something that, it's a little swampy, it's a little woodsy, and it's right we're at. [01:24.073]Really fun to play live. [01:25.019]Hostess: I've got to admit it does feel good. Crank it up for Smooth from FGL on Big Machine Radio.
